I’m a former English teacher and current assistant principal at Starmount High School in Yadkin County, North Carolina. I received my B.A. and M.Ed. from High Point University in 2006 and 2015 respectively. I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Studies at UNC Greensboro, which I hope to complete by 2020.
While I am interested in most educational theory, I am particularly interested in the work of Paulo Freire, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, and Howard Gardner. My practical academic interests include: differentiation, student engagement, and technology.
When I'm not working, I enjoy beekeeping, reading, and writing.
